1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need for the service you ask for:

  • Coaching applications. Your name, email, contact number, age, law school, year graduated, intended bar testing center, review center, employment and study details, bar-taking history, relationship status, and your answers to our application questions.
  • Product orders. Your name, email, contact number, delivery address (for hardcopy orders), proof of payment, and, when required to verify an order, a photo of a valid ID and a selfie holding that ID.
  • Mentee and VIP accounts. Your name, username and password (stored encrypted), coaching schedule, assigned coach, messages from your coach, and your exam answers, results and remarks.
  • App accounts. If you sign in to the Blue Phoenix app with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account ID from Google, plus your subscription plan, dates and payment reference.
  • Messages. Your name, email, subject and message when you use the contact form.
  • Technical data. Basic information your browser sends, such as your IP address and browser type, kept in server logs and used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

  • To review coaching applications and set up your mentee or VIP account.
  • To process, verify and deliver orders, and to prevent fraud.
  • To schedule coaching sessions, assign coaches, and give feedback on your exams.
  • To provide app content and manage your subscription.
  • To reply to your messages and send service-related notices.
  • To keep the website and app secure and working properly.

We process your information based on your consent, to fulfil our service to you, to comply with the law, and for our legitimate interest in running and securing the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Your information is seen only by Blue Phoenix administrators and coaches who need it for their work. We may also share it with:

  • Service providers who host our website and database, deliver our email, and provide Google sign-in, only as needed to run the service.
  • Couriers, who receive your name, contact number and address to deliver hardcopy orders.
  • Authorities, when the law or a valid legal order requires it.

4. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for the site to work: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and remembers your captcha, and a security cookie that protects forms against forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you block cookies, you will not be able to log in or submit forms.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Applications, order records and account data are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see Your rights).

6. How we protect it

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords using one-way encryption, limit administrator access by role, and store uploaded IDs and receipts under random, unlisted file names. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your personal information is processed;
  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • object to processing, or withdraw your consent;
  • have your information erased or blocked;
  • receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
  • be compensated for damages caused by unlawful processing; and
  • file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

To use any of these rights, email us at the address below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

8. Minors

Our services are meant for law graduates and bar takers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will always show the latest version, and we will let account holders know about significant changes.
